    WHAT IS JALLIANWALA BAGH MASSACRE?


    The Jallianwala Bagh massacre took place in pre-Independence India on 13 April, 1919, when the acting Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer ordered British troops to open fire on unarmed Indian civilians. This led to widespread bloodshed, and resulted in the death of 379 innocent Indians and over 1,000 injuries. The casualty number which was reported by the Indian National Congress at the time was at least 1,000 killed and over 1,500 injured. Read More..
